On ubuntu-11.10, I've seen this 3 times out of about 100 runs:

Lots of tests fail like that on ubuntu-11.10, I'm afraid.

e.g. happened again just now on mmdevapi/tests/render.ok
And, annoyingly, the failure is followed by a crash in the test code.

I did a bit googling and found out that ubuntu version you are using is not
offically supported anymore.
