Please attach a crash log with debug symbols installed.
I have no idea what this means - I don't get 'under the hood' of OSs - please explain what it is and how to do it

--- Comment #7 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2011-01-30 16:14:06 CST --- Please don't paste logs, use attachments. First of all you don't have debug info in a trace, and second - I thought Fortify was disabled in wine configure some months ago. Do you use package from Fedora repo?

IF I knew where the log was, I'd've pasted it
Wine came from the Fedora repo

It could be anywhere you like it to be, see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log.
Wine came from the Fedora repo
Please try to build wine from unmodified sources (from official git repo http://wiki.winehq.org/GitWine).

--- Comment #10 from bromdon@gmail.com 2011-01-31 03:46:26 CST --- 1) this is an unmodified build of Fedora 2) this is an unmodified build of WINE, taken from Fedora's own repos 3) close this bug - I'll dual boot a copy of Windows as that is less troublesome than fixing this is proving to be.

- this is an unmodified build of Fedora
It's not important here.
- this is an unmodified build of WINE, taken from Fedora's own repos
Wine project doesn't provide packages itself (there's no official rpm, deb, txz, pkg or whatever). So package maintainer from distro community is responsibly for building a package from sources. That's why I'm asking you to use wine git repo to check if it's a distro packaging fault.
- close this bug - I'll dual boot a copy of Windows as that is less
troublesome than fixing this is proving to be.
Not so fast, if you're about of giving up after a simple request maybe there's someone else on Fedora that could confirm a problem or perform requested actions.

Wine Git Repo???

Thing is, even after fixing, CC3 runs slow, I can't install Adobe CS4, and Fedora is not nice to try to get playing DVDs Nah, back to dual-booting for the things Linux & Wine can't still do Cheers...B
