Summary: Atomic Bomberman crashes on startup Product: Wine Version: 0.9.58. Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: yahgooglegan@yahoo.com
Atomic Bomberman does not start. It worked perfectly on previous versions of wine (unfortunately i cannot tell since when it didn't work)
Tested with wine version 0.9.58 and 0.9.59. It seems to be a memory access violation:
The memory could not be written wine: Unhandled page fault on execute access to 0x00000000 at address (nil) (thread 0009), starting debugger... Unhandled exception: page fault on execute access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit code (0x00000000).
System: Ubuntu 7.10 x64 (dual core), Nvidia Video Drivers

Is there a download/demo of this with the same problem?

The official demo works with latest version of Wine. I will make the regression tests and see what was the last version that worked for me and determine what patch caused this crash.

--- Comment #3 from Andrez yahgooglegan@yahoo.com 2008-04-13 05:36:40 --- I have found the problem in the configuration file. I used the same folder from Windows and from Wine and the paths were not correctly set in CFG.INI . After modifying the file the game ran perfectly on the latest version of wine. Also i have checked again on Windows XP and it crashes if that file is not set correctly so this is a normal behavior.
Sorry.. my mistake.
