terminal output while opening then closing the application

Word 2007 document opens/saves ok, but when I close the application, I get the
"msft Office Word has encountered a problem and needed to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience." message.

You should close this crash dialogue to get a crash trace in log. Also Word
will ask to recover (restart) you need to disable that on its own crash
dialogue if it comes up.

I did what you said, here's what I get.. The last line in the text is where it
just hangs there. After awhile I pushed enter and it went back to the CLI.
Still didn't seem to create a crash trace. Should I run with the debug flag or
something? If so, please provide the command. Thanks!

I can't reproduce this.

To stop Office's error handler from intercepting the crash, add dw20.exe to the
Libraries tab and set it to disabled.

Also, your summary says the crash happens when closing a document, but your
initial description says it's when closing the application. Which is it?

I guess I mean application. The document/application seem to be one in the same
as I don't see a way to close the inner document (like excel).

Wine crashing after disabling library dw20.exe

With dw20.exe disabled, then closing word, Wine crashes and provides the
attached output.

Also, when I open Word Options > Add Ins, then click on "Person Name (Outlook
Recipients)... FNAME.DLL", that triggers the crash, same as closing the
application. Thanks!

Your log lacks symbols in the backtrace.  Please use a fresh build of wine from
git, or alternately, install the debugging symbols package that goes with the
wine package you installed.  Then reproduce the problem with dw20 disabled and
see if the backtrace now has filenames and line numbers for the wine part.

Thanks for the new logs.  Key part is:

  3 DestroyWindow+0x6d(hwnd=0x2007a) [dlls/user32/win.c:1644]

So Word 2007 is hooking DestroyWindow, and is crashing when the hook is called.

The log indicates native urlmon and shlwapi are being used; neither are needed
for Office 2007. This bug may be invalid.

Shannon, please test this in a clean wineprefix (no winetricks or other
tweaks).

If riched20 is set to native,builtin rather than native, that would cause a

Well... I originally thought I had done that.. but I hadn't. But now I have,
and the problem still exists.

So I triple checked to ensure riched20 is set to native for word.exe, so that
shouldn't be the problem.
Also, the only other workaround I'm using is winetricks ie7. Are there more
workarounds that I need to use that you know of? Thanks!

You shouldn't be using winetricks ie7 at all, and it could be the cause of the
problem. Please retest in a clean wineprefix as I asked.

Ms. DiMesio, woops, sorry for glossing over your previous directions. 
You're absolutely right!! I tried again with no workarounds and the problem has
disappeared as you said. I marked this bug as resolved, is that the right thing
