--- Comment #4 from Kristian Grimsby kristian@grimsby.us 2012-09-27 02:44:29 CDT --- Unhandled exception: page fault on execute access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit code (0x00000000).
Same problem on my installation after upgrade (only in OpenGL-mode).
Major glitches in D3D9-mode, so thats out of the question.
Any help would be appricated? Is this Wine 1.5.13 related? Since 1.5.12/11 seems to be platinum?

--- Comment #5 from gpiez@web.de 2012-09-27 04:51:56 CDT --- I use 1.5.13 without any problems at all in directx9 mode. Did you try a fresh wineprefix? What kind of graphics hardware do you use?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31806
--- Comment #6 from Kristian Grimsby kristian@grimsby.us 2012-09-27 04:54:37 CDT --- I use wine 1.5.13 on Intel HD Graphics 4000 (Macbook Pro 9,2(?) Mid-2012 w/ the new ivy bridge)...
Tried with both new win32 and win64 wineprefix.
The game itself runs with 30-40 fps, but elements/texture has no boundries (streching on forever). Like the old "clipping" problems...

--- Comment #7 from gpiez@web.de 2012-09-27 04:58:54 CDT --- Sounds like a driver incompatibility as the game seems to run near perfectly on nvidia hardware.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31806
--- Comment #8 from Kristian Grimsby kristian@grimsby.us 2012-09-27 04:59:55 CDT --- Might be :/
Still - the OpenGL used to work perfectly, until this bug came around..

--- Comment #9 from Sverre Rabbelier srabbelier@gmail.com 2012-09-27 11:31:54 CDT --- Created attachment 41859 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=41859 Fourth backtrace, now on 1.4
This does not seem to be a regression, rather a problem with the latest WoW update. I tried on 1.4 and it crashes in the same way.

--- Comment #11 from Lars Rune Nøstdal larsnostdal@gmail.com 2012-09-28 12:27:31 CDT --- Ow, doing this before starting WoW helps here:
$ export force_s3tc_enable=true
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31806
--- Comment #12 from Kristian Grimsby kristian@grimsby.us 2012-09-28 12:46:47 CDT --- $ export force_s3tc_enable=true
This actually works for me too (tried it once and only for a few minutes - but look promissing!)
Could this be a Mesa-realted problem (seems nvidia/ati are unaffected)?
OpenGL vendor string: Tungsten Graphics, Inc OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Mobile OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 8.0.2 OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
Can anyone confirm?
Why does this type of texture compression need to be enabled "manually"?
Kind Regards, Kristian

force_s3tc_enable is technically a hack that gets you partial S3TC support, but nevertheless that's enough for a lot of applications. Full S3TC support requires libtxc_dxtn to be installed.

--- Comment #14 from Sverre Rabbelier srabbelier@gmail.com 2012-09-29 12:05:04 CDT --- I also have a integrated videocard and the Mesa trick fixes it for me as well, although it leaves some textures missing.
