From the log:
trace:shell:UnixFolder_IShellFolder2_ParseDisplayName (iface=0x152270, hwndOwner=(nil), pbcReserved=(nil), lpszDisplayName=L"C:\users\freemind\Desktop\C:\users\freemind\Desktop\Test_File2.wav", pchEaten=0x32e514, ppidl=0x32e038, pdwAttributes=0x32ec78) stub
Note the bad path. The question is, where's it coming from?

the test files: Test_File1.wav and Test_File2.wav are on Desktop in my home folder
Yep, I understand. So this path would be valid: "C:\users\freemind\Desktop\Test_File2.wav" but the path the app is actually looking for is not (it has C:\... twice in it) "C:\users\freemind\Desktop\C:\users\freemind\Desktop\Test_File2.wav"

--- Comment #7 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com 2012-01-02 15:55:23 CST --- This is fixed possibly for a while now. The application can attach any files without the described problem and shows the correct file sizes and icons for exe attachments.
