Without dinput8 native on current wine git.
For some reason additionally using it natively on wine git (to get the game to start) produces a jumpy mouse cursor. A setting must get changed somewhere because this now happens in older wine versions that previously didn't get this.

--- Comment #2 from Roland Haeder roland@mxchange.org 2011-07-29 23:34:34 CDT --- I could attach a warn+all log + console log (no WINEDEBUG defined) from an isolated (WINEPREFIX'ed) Steam installation if you need it?

--- Comment #3 from Roland Haeder roland@mxchange.org 2011-07-29 23:45:52 CDT --- It looks like the WINED3DFORMAT DF24 is not support. I got the following lines when I did a "winetricks dinput8" and relaunched the game: ------------------------------------------- fixme:d3d:wined3d_get_format Can't find format unrecognized (0x34324644) in the format lookup table fixme:d3d:wined3d_device_set_software_vertex_processing device 0x1db628, software 0 stub! fixme:d3d:query_init Unhandled query type 0xc. -------------------------------------------

--- Comment #5 from Roland Haeder roland@mxchange.org 2011-11-01 10:40:03 CDT --- Thank you for fixing this. DNF now launches (intro videos, menu) and also the Linux cursor is no longer shown (built-in DLLS only). :) Only when you try to launch a new game or continue one (from usage of native DLLs), it crashes.
Okay, that OT for this bug, so please see bug #27994.
