--- Comment #2 from edward savage epssyis@gmail.com 2007-12-23 01:23:26 --- Seems like the best place this bug is in here.
(Scrolling first line, second once and game basically locks up after it.) fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_ValidateDevice (0x140700) : stub fixme:d3d:CreateVBO Failed to create a vertex buffer object. Continuing, but performance issues can occur
Got this after jumping several jumps through empire, was targetted on the other side of the gate, jumped through and loading took a minute or so. Star field loads, some objects (concord, stargate) load, background image of space doesn't and UI is very unresponsive. Game is unplayable and has to be forced to quit.

--- Comment #4 from winehq@snugmail.com 2008-02-28 20:15:47 --- I'm running slackware 12 (32 bit), wine-0.9.56-i486-1kjz from linuxpackages.net, NVidia 7600 GS 256MB, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+, 2 GB ram
With premium graphics enabled:
In 1600x1200, the station gets rendered as "The Great Purple Splotch" as in the screenshot. Note that it is in the foreground and never moves, i.e. it's as if it my screen has paint on it. It does not go away unless I go into the station.
In 1280x1024, the station is just invisible -- same in 1024x768.
Warp drive "cloud tunnel" is pixelated, like a digital quilt.
No engine sound when approaching an object.
CPU usage at about 50% ...
None of this reproduces in standard graphics mode, but who wants to use that? :)

--- Comment #5 from Vorobyov Anton phoenix@mail.ru 2008-04-19 12:54:58 --- I guess this one may be closed since 11705 has far more complete description and reference to this one.
This one is actually 2-in-1: performance/stability issues (i didn't and don't have any) and graphical glitches on video adapters below 8th GF series (11705).
