Summary: EVE Online crashes during splash screen Product: Wine Version: 1.1.27 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: mizipzor@gmail.com
After starting EVE Online the splash screen is shown for a few seconds then vanishes with no error dialog or exception of any kind.
The output printed by the application didnt seem to yield any relevant information, see output.txt, so I ran it with WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh,+tid, see relay.txt.

--- Comment #2 from mizipzor mizipzor@gmail.com 2009-08-10 15:25:14 --- Created an attachment (id=22982) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=22982) relay log
$ env WINEPREFIX="/home/mizipzor/.wine" WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh,+tid wine eve.exe &>/home/mizipzor/relay.txt
The original file was 148mb, I shortened it since the last lines are repeated over and over again until the program is manually killed. That is, two calls to allocate, followed by two calls to free, rinse and repeat.

--- Comment #3 from mizipzor mizipzor@gmail.com 2009-08-10 18:00:55 --- The program doesnt actually crash. Rather, the splash screen just vanishes. I found this out by making wine simulate a virtual desktop area to hold the program. When the splash screen disappeared, the desktop stayed. Also, a "ExeFile.exe" persists in "ps --user mizipzor".
Should the title of the bug be changed to something else to reflect this?
After the splash screen, the EULA should be displayed and accepted. Thinking that something maybe went wrong there, I downloaded and applied the "sh winetricks corefonts" (I think I saw it listed somewhere as a EULA problem workaround) but no progress.
