Initially this problem was described here: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12409 Someone errorneously reported that issue was fixed; so, it was marked as resolved/fixed/closed.
So, issue is that LOTS of effects in EVE Online cause major glitches. You even don't need account to check it. Screenshots of login screen attached.

See screenshots "Amarr station in 0.9.58" (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12289) and "Amarr station in 0.9.60" (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12288) for good example.

Also that it only effects older drivers while using shadows, the original bug was for the loading screen error when shadows were off, which was fixed by a game patch.
To fix this in the short term before updating drivers simply disable shadows in the ESC menu on the right.

I've disabled shadows on 1st launch of eve and forgot that setting. So, this workaround didn't help me.
Latest git (0.9.60 tag); 173.08 NVIDIA beta drivers; issue still occurs.
Do you also have GF 8xxx or some other videocard?

I tested with the nVidia Beta Drivers (173.08) and the last Wine (not git version) and issues still occurs,
in few hours i'll test with the last git.
Test conf : XFX 7600GT Fatality Edition PCie, nVidia 173.08, in game conf without shadows and hdr,

Hi, in .58 version with hdr and bloom in on, most render ok (including lights objects) i'll test the last GIT in this week ,

The issue is still present in Wine 0.9.61, I have to completely switch HDR off as in .59 and .60.
