Hi there,

I have been running the program FX_Client.exe from AVAFX 
(www.avafx.com/Download-Ava-Trader) 
without any problem with wine-1.3.15 on Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS.

Now, right after the login and before starting the connection to the server,
the program crashes.

Attached is the message that appears.

Wine version? Is this a regression? Attach full terminal output including

To get the backtrace, you'll need to run in a console and either click the
button on the crash dialog, or do 'winetricks nocrashdialog'.

I ran  wine fx_loader.exe &> message.txt

I'm attaching the file message.txt

I filled in the field of the wine version (wine-1.3.15)

You failed to click on the crash dialog button,
or it failed to work, so there is no stack.

Try again after doing 'winetricks nocrashdialog'.

new error message

I did "winetricks nocrashdialog" and ran again 
wine fx_loader.exe &>message.txt
The new message.txt is attached. No crash dialog appeared though.

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends
to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the
bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put
effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.

Is this still an issue with 1.7.2 or higher ?

They have metatrader that should work just fine.

Hello folks,

I can't reproduce the crash.
The bootstrapper downloads the FXClient and runs it.

Live demo/login is not possible as the server 'real4.sysfx.com' which is
hard-coded in the client seems defunct.

Resolving 'fixed'.

$ sha1sum trader_setup.exe 
be655d93694c145b29a1f5b53de4796966771889  trader_setup.exe

$ du -sh trader_setup.exe 
5.7M    trader_setup.exe

$ wine --version
wine-1.7.25
