Filing a bug for wine-mono because the FAQ page told me to.
steps to replicate:
1. A vanilla wine prefix. 2. winetricks vcrun2015 (and dotnet48; on wine-mono does not work; hence filing bug report) 3. run the msi installer unzipping the zip 4. winecfg to win7 (win10 used to work, but until recently, requires winetricks dxvk vcrun2010 and corefonts to work) 4. run the application

To clarify the question, what happens when you try to run with wine-mono?
1. It does not install, during the installation process, there is a component that it fetches during installation time, M4RTD, which is not fetched, if using wine-mono. Also, the installer UI is not rendered properly in wine-mono, but it works, other than installing the fetched component.
2. Then, after installation, it does not startup and wine quits out.
The application is free to download and use, you can see the nitty-gritty by trying it yourself :)
In particular, wine logs the below in a fresh wineprefix (which is working with perfect installation in dotnet48 with the fetched component in another prefix) just to answer the queries here
