QuickBooks could be a large feather in wine's cap.

Initially had the same problem as was reported in 
bug # 5415. Followed through to comment #12 utilizing
"winetricks" as was suggested. After which I was
able to accomplish a load with two icons on the 
desktop. Did not have any of the difficulties with
the EULA or other observations that were made on
04-03-2007 {comment #13}. With winetricks it would
be helpful if it had some documentation and overviews.

-1  Attempted to execute {QuickBooks} qbw32.exe from the terminal:
  aborted with a "COM" error and the following terminal listing:
