Okay, I feel stupid. I wrote the previous comment having forgotten about the
existence of the patch, despite its being mentioned two comments previous.

If the patch does work and gets integrated into Wine, then I would support
closing the bug. However, if the patch has not yet been integrated, then I
would not say that the problem can be called fixed, because it does not work
out-of-the-box in a fresh install of Wine.
