You are running 32 bit binary in multiarch wine on archlinux (bundles both 32
bit & 64 bit wine, where 64bit is default)

Please update the .bashrc with the following
export WINEARCH=win32

relogin

delete the current wine prefix
rm -rf ~/.wine

run winecfg

install prince of persia 3d again

run the program again, it should work again

Why the export? Usually a 64Bit prefix is fine. What makes you think it's a
64Bit issue?

Can you try in a fresh 32bit prefix, and if that doesn't work post a full log?

Its because of this line in the trace, I used to get this issue.

Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x00400053 in 32-bit code
(0x0040aacd).

Its 64 bit as
System information:
    Wine build: wine-3.0-rc3
    Platform: i386 (WOW64)
    Version: Windows 7
    Host system: Linux
    Host version: 4.14.8-1-ARCH

Try this on archlinux, its written in the archlinux wiki page on wine.
If you want to run 32 bit executables you need to set winearch.

And wine still cannot run in mixed mode yet that is running 32 bit executables
in 64 bit wine.

Are you saying that's only on Arch, or in general. Most distros can run 32bit
apps on a 64bit prefix without issue. Please don't insinuate to users that wine
cannot.

Still don't get your point, wine can run 32bit programs in 64bit WINEPREFIXes
perfectly fine. I'm running Arch too and do that all the time.

With the demo version the game starts, but the game does not show up correctly.
I see about a quarter of the menu fullscreen. i can start the game, and it
shows the top-left quarter of the intro movie.

This is after removing ~/.wine, but without ay exports.

After starting the game, I see a quarter of the menu fullscreen, Then I press
alt-F4. My screen goes black, and does not display anything anymore, not even
after pressing ctrl-alt-F2 , or alt-tab.

On archlinux you might get these specific errors, when mixing the 32/64 bit
executables.
Hence on archlinux, you might need to download the 32 bit libraries and set the
WINEARCH enviroment variable appropriately.

If on clean prefix it starts, then its well and good.

Works fine for me with wine-7.0-rc5 (but the performance, but it is a already
reported bug)
Can anyone confirm that there is no bug with wine-7.0-rc5?
