Regression with the latest wine 1.3.32 while loading a program on ubuntu i386 Oneiric:
- get a warning dialog box first, saying it has met a serious problem and need to be closed

Details: - the log is about wine "loading" - get the same log while "loading" MT4, then it works as it might - get this log too while "loading" MT5, but it freeze then a few seconds later after receiving some data, and need to kill its process outside as the menu is also frozen

Now the question is whether this is about the crash in metatester.exe (which is indeed a recent regression, 1.3.31->1.3.32) or about the freezing issue which happens shortly after terminal.exe was started.
Dino, what was the last Wine version which could run the application reliably (without freezing)?

even with MT4 i get the dialog warn but then MT4 works. Latest working wine was 1.3.29/30 with MT5 b521. Metatester has never works for me. So the main issue now its that freezing shortly coming and of course cant get the liveupdate process running. Have installed mdac27 via winetricks as i get an ole error while installing a fresh mt5setup.exe from metaquotes in a new wine bottle, but still get this freezing madness. Have erased all the ex5 too, but still no luck.
Now i will try a regression test when i'll find some free time.

The terminal.exe application still freezes shortly after starting. This always happens in about 30 seconds after the application started. I found out that if you make the application quit normally, the freezing won't happen anymore.
Follow these steps with the trial version to reproduce the problem and the workaround: 1. Install the application (the installer will download ~15 MB). 2. Launch terminal.exe, click on <Cancel> in the pop-up window and wait...in about 30-60 seconds the app will freeze. 3. Terminate the unresponsive app by pressing <Ctrl+c> in the terminal, then launch it again. As soon as the pop-up window appears click on <Cancel> and select <Exit> in the File menu. Notice that the application quits normally now. 4. Launch terminal.exe again and you can observe that the application no longer freezes...until you remove the terminal.ini configuration file, which oddly re-introduces the problem.

This commit made networking available in Metatrader 5. Without networking (prior to that commit) the problem doesn't occur in MT5 (of course the application is unusable without networking). I'm not sure if this is indeed a regression, or another bug that became visible due to that commit.

i'm using the latest wine 1.3.35 & MT5 b567 As this issue have been reported to Metaquotes team also, they have made some tweaks to run it easierly with wine: changes made with b565. Now this issue is totally fixed for Metatrader.

i can confirm your issue too with b574, but dont understand it as on the same system i've installed 2 winebottles with the same winecfg settings: - one dont freeze - the other freeze after around 10/15 seconds
