--- Comment #1 from kurtosis [email protected] --- Getting same error. Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, Gnome 3.28.2, Nvidia Driver 430.40.
Running WoW in Lutris using DXVK, per the config instructions here: https://github.com/lutris/lutris/wiki/Game:-World-of-Warcraft
Tested the following:
1. Addons disabled 2. Battle.net hardware acceleration setting disabled 3. DirectX 11, DirectX 11 Legacy 4. Wine versions tkg-4.0-x86_64, tkg-4.3-x68_64 both with DXVK and ESync enabled
Having issues testing Wow.exe and Battle.net in WineHQ staging (4.12.1, my system default), will update later (I've only ever run it in Lutris).

--- Comment #2 from kurtosis [email protected] --- There are troubleshooting steps on this at the WoW forums:
Razer Synapse bug may be causing it, Razer patched it, try updating Synapse: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/known-technical-support-issues-updat...
If that doesn't work, try these troubleshooting steps: https://support.blizzard.com/article/000135100?utm_source=internal-TechForum...

--- Comment #3 from Andrew Schott [email protected] --- Any status on fixes for this issue? Affecting myself and a few friends.

--- Comment #4 from Andrew Schott [email protected] --- I figured out what was causing me grief. Blizzard's code hates symlinks. I have segregated off my game data in every prefix, and symlink it in where appropriate. So in this case I have a blizzard_games folder elsewhere that I symlinked each game in where BNet defaults the install to. I removed these symlinks and instead mapped a drive letter to it, and lastly pointed BNet to the new drive letter. In game shop works now.
I have a few prefixes that all were experiencing the black screen issue, and all are fixed now by getting away from the symlinks.

--- Comment #6 from Ker noa [email protected] --- The Ingame Store shows a black frame and the support section which encapsulates a website as well loads forever with wine 9.10

--- Comment #7 from [email protected] --- Can confirm that this bug still occurs in wine 9.10. However, a workaround to get the store to temporarily work is to go to the game directory and clear the "Utils" folder. Then head the the Battle.net launcher and hit Update.
The in-game store should work for one session, but it may take long to load.
