HackingToolkit9DS.exe is some kind of 3DS rom patching tool (one of the tools I'm using to translate a Japanese-only 3DS rom).

I was supposed to run SetupUS.exe first and did. It created an "Uninstall HackingToolkit9DS" option in Menu (only one), no problems. Next I ran HackingToolkit9DS.exe. It opened a black window and closed in less than one second. I opened it a few more times and resulted the same. Seems to be the error here, it works with "winetricks cmd", after running SetupUS.exe of course.

Sorry, this was a red herring. Real issue is special syntax in "IF (NOT) EXISTS" that wine doesn't like:
IF EXIST "%PROGRAMFILES%\HackingToolkit9DS*.*"

--- Comment #10 from wellbeserious12@gmail.com --- No longer using Linux. It's a handicap for 500+ steps each time before doing anything. Making everything pointless again. Integrated USB drivers into W7 and everything works fine with wufuc Update Unblocker.
If anyone here is interested in that game's translation, do it yourself.
