Upon selecting the story mode from main menu, this page fault appears. Also the selection keeps cycling so it's hard to select it from the menu.

--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2011-10-02 11:45:37 CDT --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 1 year. Is this still an issue in current (1.3.29 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #2 from Luke gaming4jc2@yahoo.com 2013-03-17 20:14:54 CDT --- Created attachment 43958 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=43958 1.5.26 backtrace
It made it farther a long, and the game selection is much smoother. Unfortunately, it still dies at the same spot, 0x21101b34 - and kicks on the debugger.

--- Comment #3 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 1 year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.31 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.31 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

Still present in 1.7.31 - attaching crash log / backtrace

--- Comment #5 from Luke gaming4jc2@yahoo.com --- Still broken in Wine 1.9.0:
Multiple regressions since previously testing make the program non-bootable with default settings. Using Hardware rendering and disabling sound allows the game to start.
Config/Preferences.dat --> bool& SOUND_ON =Bool(); // is no)
Once the game boots, it crashes at the same point as before. Only now there is no backtrace. Errors on screen: exception access violation was raised, press "OK" followed by "abnormal program termination". 80% of the time it also crashes xorg-server and/or linux-kernel as the computer has to be shutdown using power button as there is no response to keyboard at this point.

Still broken in Wine 1.9.0:
Could you test wine 2.0 series? 1 year since last time tested. Wine makes huge progress in that time. Is there a demo of this that could show the issue?

Still exists in Wine 2.0. Was unable to find any demo, there are a few "full downloads" available on the internet.

err:msvideo:ICLocate Required media codec 'vidc IV50' not found!
Maybe missing codec is problem? Could you try install this codec, see if it changes anything?
Did you also try ``winetricks quartz``?

--- Comment #11 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Bug is fixed in wine-5.0-rc1. Webarchive has a copy of the game but I think it is illegal copy.
Can an administrator close this bug as FIXED?
