--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2008-09-03 12:59:39 --- I wonder which part of the big red sign you didn't see? The one that says do not paste logs, attach them instead?

Shows that you did not install this program properly. Do that as described in FAQ and try again.

--- Comment #3 from Matt matt@explodicide.com 2008-09-03 21:19:51 --- Same thing on my system. Ubuntu 8.04 all updates current as of today AMD64 nVidia Geforce 6600
It was working perfectly fine, before updates. I haven't run updates in a while (vacation) and just ran a ton of them all at once today, and now this. Other things seem to be working properly.
Seems like what I'm experiencing is similar to what Linubie is getting. These two lines are the same. See my attachment for more detail.

--- Comment #5 from Matt matt@explodicide.com 2008-09-20 14:40:03 --- Yup. Crashes with the same set of errors with the demo too.

--- Comment #6 from Matt matt@explodicide.com 2008-09-21 12:00:14 --- Forgot to mention this in previous posts. This is happening after the game launches and takes over the screen. The screen goes black, the desktop resolution changes to fit the game, and then it crashed back to desktop, leaving the resolution the same.
If the game doesn't launch, like say if some of the config files are missing, the game console will launch to report the error, and do so without crashing with a Wine related error. It's only if the full game engine tries to launch and go fullscreen.

Yup. Crashes with the same set of errors with the demo too.
I just tried the demo, starts and runs fine in current git.
Maybe the problem was missing wbem. Assuming fixed.
Feel free to reopen if you still run into trouble using newest wine
