Created an attachment (id=30770) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=30770) Wine 1.3.2 +file (1.9 MB)
MaxIM DL 5 reports an error when opening any kind of file: "Failed to create empty document."
There is nothing printed in the console and I have no idea where the software is trying to create this "empty document". Works fine under Windows XP.
A demo is available for download with a trial license.
The sample file in the trace is ajn-001bias.fit.

--- Comment #2 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2010-09-16 09:17:32 CDT --- Tried. Made no difference.
Under Win XP, for some reason, when asked to open files it runs through an MSI install/update again. Tried msi2 but it didn't make any difference. I guess it doesn't get that far.

Nothing at all is printed in the console normally.
Attempting to create a new file has the same effect.

--- Comment #6 from LIANG Chen lcpcsky@163.com 2013-12-03 08:30:14 CST --- Could you kindly please paste a patch URL so that I would check what's wrong about MaxIm DL with wine to create "empty document"
I ran wine 1.6.6 on Mac OS X and 1.5.5 on Debian Linux(I knew it was fixed in 1.5.13, but I just can't get a working wine above version 1.5.5 on Debian) both got the same "Failed to create empty document" message and I just ran into mad...
