Summary: Lego Racers crashes at startup Product: Wine Version: 0.9.59. Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: echidnaman@gmail.com
Lego Racers crashes during startup with Wine 0.9.60. Here is the console output, I'm not attaching it since it's only 2 lines:
wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x00223000 at address 0xb7d224e7 (thread 0009), starting debugger... err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x7ef9efdc
To reach this crash one must bypass bug 12675 by either using the -novideo option to launch the game or by using a native quartz.dll. Either workaround gives the same crash.
The demo of the game doesn't crash.

Reported version is wine 0.9.60.

Anyway, I still can't get a backtrace for the game. After the game crashes and the virtual desktop closes, I run winedbg and then enter bt all.
None of the backtraces I get are related to LEGO Racers.exe, but rather services.exe, winedevice.exe, etc.
If I'm supposed to run bt all while the program is still crashing and/or before the virtual desktop disappears then I don't know what to do, because the crash happens way to fast to get backtraces for all processes before the virtual desktop closes.

I *can* get a backtrace when I launch the program with the resolution flags the game provides. When I launch the game with -horzres 1280 -vertres 1024 I get the attached backtrace.
Also, strangely enough, using a native dinput.dll bypasses this crash.
