Summary: TAGAP: certain objects have no textures Product: Wine Version: 1.3.19 Platform: x86 URL: http://tagap-mirror.nefele.fi/downloads/TAGAP%20Setup. exe OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: gyebro69@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=34433) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=34433) screenshot
In TAGAP (The Apocalyptic Game About Penguins) each time a level is loaded a similar message appears at the bottom of the screen: 'Warning: Unknown texture [value: metal3]'.
Indeed, certain textures are not rendered correctly in the game; they appear as white boxes, rectangles (see attached screenshot).
A plain terminal output doesn't reveal too much: fixme:xinput:XInputEnable (1) Stub! fixme:xinput:XInputEnable (1) Stub! fixme:dsalsa:IDsDriverBufferImpl_SetVolumePan (0x147a20,0x147920): stub fixme:xinput:XInputGetState (0 0x11175d8) fixme:xinput:XInputEnable (0) Stub! fixme:xinput:XInputEnable (0) Stub!
The game uses OpenGL. Textures are stored in .tga files.
No such problem when running the game in VirtualBox (WinXP SP3 guest). I've also tried limiting the number of OpenGL extensions: 'export __GL_ExtensionStringVersion=17700' but that didn't help.

--- Comment #6 from Béla Gyebrószki gyebro69@gmail.com --- Still present in wine-1.7.33-40-gca51e11, tested with TAGAP v2.0 and Nvidia binary drivers 340.65. Seemingly, this bug existed in previous TAGAP versions (1.7, 1.8) on Windows too, affecting some users with certain vga chipsets/drivers, hence they released the 2.0 version of the game which should fix the white block issue on Windows. Unfortunately, the issue is still present for me with the updated 2.0 game version.

--- Comment #7 from Józef Kucia joseph.kucia@gmail.com --- This issue is not related to the whitebox bug which was fixed in TAGAP v2.0.
It seems that the game is buggy and it works correctly only when it finds files in order produced by NTFS. The issue can be also reproduced on Windows when the game is installed on FAT partition.
I guess it should be closed as a duplicate of Bug 34122.

This patch helps TAGAP to load all textures.
Your patch indeed fixes the problem in Tagap and Tagap 2. I just can't reproduce bug #34122 on my system: when both expansion packs are installed Civ5 loads both of them properly here.
