I'm sorry that I can't find a wmv file without copyright. You need to find one, put it to C:\wa2_mv001.wmv

--- Comment #3 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- There are some downloadable .wmv files on http://www.educationalquestions.com/video.htm.
I downloaded the first one on that page. It plays fine in demo.exe, though it crashes when it reaches the end of the video. The same video hangs MPC-HC when you try to open it and can't be inserted into Powerpoint 2007.

Thanks I downloaded one, with sha1sum 6a6a32679503afde32f47fea12b88bd0f703b92c
It reports that No interface for {37d84f60-42cb-11ce-8135-00aa004bb851}! on my computer, either.
I use Fedora, and compile wine from git. What's your distro? How do you get your packages?

That's the one I tested.
It reports that No interface for {37d84f60-42cb-11ce-8135-00aa004bb851}! on my computer, either.
I get that in the console, too, but the video plays for me in your demo program.

I'm on openSUSE 13.1. I've been testing with the distro package.
Are you sure you compiled with winegstreamer and have whatever 32 bit gstreamer plugin is needed for .wmv files?

Well, seems that this fixme is not critical.

Seems that you're right. There's something wrong with my gstreamer, and I reported to: https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4060

According to that bug, you've been trying to install gstreamer-plugins-ugly 0.10. That wouldn't work even if you could install it; Wine needs 1.0 or later (I have 1.6.3).

I'm also trying to install gstreamer1-plugins-ugly.i686 That's 1.4.5
