[Bug 6871] Textures in GTAIII are rendered as grey and silver weirdness

I revived an old computer with geforce 2 mx, installed linux on it, and I can
confirm there are problems with EXT_paletted_texture: corrupted fonts,
corrupted model textures etc. Everything goes away when I disable this
extension. I'm not seeing the "sky color cars" problem. I got nvidia-96xx
96.43.05-2 driver there.

Let's do this: since one issue that was affecting new cards as well got fixed
and this bug was closed, let's leave this bug alone and open new ones for new
problems if needed. I created this one:

for the EXT_paletted_texture texture corruption problem. I'll try to look into
it.

Feel free to open more bugs for separate issues like that of sky colored cars.
