Summary: Blur: crashes in intro videos in fullscreen mode Product: Wine Version: 1.3.3 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: austinenglish@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=30936) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=30936) terminal output + backtrace
To reproduce, install Blur from DVD (wisotool blur). Run blur (you may have to workaround safedisc 7...)
It'll then pop up the activision logo, then a second video. Sometime during the second video, it also checks for updates and a small window pops up. When that second video finishes, it should transition to the menu (unless you choose to install updates). Instead, you get a crash and it hangs:

--- Comment #2 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2010-09-23 17:10:02 CDT --- As a guess, I tried disabling the movies my renaming %PROGRAMFILES%\Activision\Blur(TM)\UI to UI.bak, then running the game. Still crashes in full screen mode.
On second run though, works fine. It seems after the crash it makes a file called settings.xml in C:\Users%USERNAME%\Application Data\bizarre creations\blur\ that will start it in window mode. If you delete that file though, the crashes return.
