--- Comment #3 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Thanks Josef. I think that your patch fixes the problem. With your patch, the game does not crash anymmore, but fall into an infinite loop. But I think that this problem is a amstream problem. With a native amstream dll and your patch, the game starts.

Hello everyone,
the demo of "The Sting!" can still be downloaded from the URL indicated and installs fine in a fresh prefix.
The loading screen and the neoSoftware logo display but eventually it hangs.
wine --version wine-3.13 (Staging)
sha256sum StingDemo.exe 37e1d7e281ed36530808b4f27d2a9e8f6f64802d9ee58311b89bcb548db983f4 StingDemo.exe
As far as I can see it the staged patch fixes the issue just fine but there is another amstream issue being revealed.
