Summary: [regression] wine 0.9.57 and 0.9.60 lot more flickering and artifacts in Panzer General III Scorched Earth Product: Wine Version: 0.9.60 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: phajdan.jr@gmail.com
In recent versions of wine I experience a lot of flicker and visual artifacts (probably transaparency-related, but not sure, see screenshots). I will attach screenshots in a moment and briefly explain what's wrong here.
Please note: this issue didn't occur at least in wine 0.9.43 and earlier.

--- Comment #1 from ph phajdan.jr@gmail.com 2008-04-25 05:23:07 --- Created an attachment (id=12455) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12455) Main game menu
Problems here: menu items' labels are hardly readable. Around a cursor there is a rectangle which exhibits visual artifacts.

--- Comment #2 from ph phajdan.jr@gmail.com 2008-04-25 05:25:04 --- Created an attachment (id=12456) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12456) "New campaign" window
Problems: top parts of images at left (Zhukov and Manstein) are cropped, some UI parts at right are too. Text is unreadable. Moving mouse pointer leaves visual artifacts.

--- Comment #3 from ph phajdan.jr@gmail.com 2008-04-25 05:26:56 --- Created an attachment (id=12457) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12457) Screen at the begginning of the campaign scenario
Problems: the main problem is the map at the background of main text. It shouldn't be there.

--- Comment #4 from ph phajdan.jr@gmail.com 2008-04-25 05:28:45 --- Created an attachment (id=12459) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12459) Headquaters screen
Leaders (right, middle) have distorted background, moving mouse leaves visual artifacts.

--- Comment #5 from ph phajdan.jr@gmail.com 2008-04-25 06:23:49 --- Note that most of these problems are also present in wine-0.9.48 (to a lesser degree).

--- Comment #8 from knan-wine@anduin.net 2008-09-26 19:19:09 --- Is the problem still there in 1.1.5?
And if you revert the patch you homed in on on current git, does the problem disappear? ("git revert 3b822b80feba396ec017c9ef0d96d59a1733a2d8")
