first: - game: need for speed most wanted - wine version: 1.1.37 - System: openSUSE 11.2 (x86_64) - BS: Linux 2.6.31.8-0.1-default x86_64 - i didnt compile wine, ive got the package from "http://www.winehq.com" - i start the game and the message "unload the debugger and try again" appears. the game dont run.
second: - ive start the game with "WINEDEBUG=+relay wine speed.exe &> log.txt". i upload the log.txt. the game starts and the message "unload the debugger and try again" didnt appear, but it runs very slow like 2-3 fps.

--- Comment #15 from Ursan Marius Bogdan Creationn@gmail.com 2010-03-10 09:37:23 --- Same thing happens under wine 1.1.40. My OS is openSUSE 11.0 x86, Nvidia GeForce 9400GT is my GPU with 1024 mb of memory using the 190.53 video driver. The game is not installable under wine 1.1.40 because it complains about AutorunGUI.dll; eventually the game starts(after i copya windows install from virtual box) but as soon i create a profile the game crashes with the same error under a clean environment.
Here the output i get:

OK, i get message box "unload the debugger and try again" only if winecfg is set to Win98 (and probably others Win95/ME).
When i set winecfg to WinXP, there is no such message and game runs. I think i read similar issue... Don't remember, whether it was marked as duplicate or invalid :-/
So question is, whether wine supports SafeDisc on Win98 (to my surprise involved SafeDisc v4.60 on DVD works under WinXP).
