Theoretically, can I create russian directories from wine apps?

When I had changed directory from app and tried to work with files, I saw errors 
messages. But I can work with files, full path of which consists russian 
symbols, when I run app from this current dir.

[wieker@yarilo &#1089;&#1072;&#1088;&#1072;&#1090;&#1086;&#1074;]$ wine notepad file1.txt
