Summary: "winemenubuilder.exe has encountered a serious problem" pops up every time WINE runs Product: Wine Version: 1.1.25 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: vexorian@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=22233) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=22233) terminal output whenever a program is run through WINE
Ever since I upgraded to 1.1.25 from 1.1.24 using the winehq ubuntu jaunty jackalope repository. I am getting this error popup whenever a WINE app is executed. It can get very annoying as I use WINE most of the times to run a compiler in the background.

--- Comment #1 from Paul Romanyszyn pgr@arcelectronicsinc.com 2009-07-06 22:45:22 --- Could be a packaging error, or regression as some work was done in that area. try with a new prefix, check with latest git (build from source). Once you have Git installed run a regression test to pinpoint the change that caused the problem. See http://wiki.winehq.org/Developers for info on Git, regression testing and recommended packages

--- Comment #2 from Vexorian vexorian@gmail.com 2009-07-07 08:44:02 --- I tried a regression test, but the problem was gone with the latest build. Then I tested and it appears the bug was caused by my ~/.wine folder. When I rename it, WINE 1.1.25 stops causing that error.

Invalid then. Please reopen if you still have this problem in a clean ~/.wine
