Summary: Street Wars: Constructor Underground - Game sound lags lots and freezes up Product: Wine Version: 1.1.22 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: markh789@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=21510) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=21510) All the log.
I have attached a the game play. The game's sound lags alot, and the game will start to freeze and lock up, it's not a memory leak (from what I can see).
Do you think the Component d3d is causing both the issues? It could also be dplay.

Errors still in new version of Wine 1.1.23.
Still works for me. Which video card and drivers are you using? And please make sure you're testing with a clean prefix, as another bug report you submitted shows you are using native dlls.

Ignore the terminal output... the question is does it work now? Also please answer my question of which video card and drivers do you have?

If your computer hardlocks then it's not a bug in Wine, more likely to be in your video drivers. Try updating them it might fix the problem.

--- Comment #13 from Mark hughes markh789@gmail.com 2009-06-08 01:19:14 --- No, my computer dose not lock-up.. sorry if I'm explaining this bad.
If you read the Street Wars: Constructor Underground I'm not the only one with this problem, someone from 2008 also said they had this problem ..
My computer works fine.. otherwise I don't think I would be able to alt-tab to the terminal and CTR+C my way out of it..
I think you may want to reconsider re-opening this..

--- Comment #14 from Jeff Zaroyko jeffz@jeffz.name 2009-06-08 01:55:24 --- Yeah, you have explained this poorly, if you say your computer stops responding, then to me that means it does not respond to "Control-C". Now you say the opposite, ok - I'll reopen.
Also I've already asked twice which video driver you're using, please check by doing: glxinfo | grep version

--- Comment #16 from Mark hughes markh789@gmail.com 2009-06-19 07:52:26 --- It appears, after changing some of the sound settings it fixes the lag issue. Though I can not hear the sound anymore (changed from ALSA to OSS sound).

When emulation is enabled, I can hear sound. Clicking on property's causes the game to lag up and freeze for a bit.

Ok so everything works fine now with the sound, and the Application dose not lock up anymore.
But, I hit a hole in the road while making a Soup Kitchen.
