the d: symlink points to /mnt/second_disk

FSTAB:
/dev/hdc1            /mnt/second_disk     vfat      
users,owner,rw,nodev,exec,umask=000 0 0

I can actually type 'D:' into the dialog box, and it works.
BUT from the root of 'My Computer' then clicking on D: it crashes there too.
Also many programs don't run correctly from the 'D:' drive but do when I copy
them to the fake windows directory. The partition has been checked about a week ago.
