Bug ID: 55590 Summary: gcifinancial4setup : error due to wine not supporting windows 10 Product: Wine Version: 5.0.3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: secur32 Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: mehrarajiv234@gmail.com Distribution: ---
I executed following command in the terminal -
wine/home/rajiv/Downloads/gcifinancialsetup
But I got following errors in the dialogue box -
Unsupported operating system!
Please upgrade to windows 10 or later. Trading on financial markets require maximum security and performance.
Then I looked for workaround and executed -
wincfg -v win10
I chose my exe file and windows 10 below. Then I pressed ok. The above error still persists.
I am using mint una and wine 5.0.3. This is my system info -

Please note that other brokers that use metatrader4 platform are working with the wine but only gcifinancial provides different quotes which I want to see.

I completely removed and purged old wine 5.0.3 and installed wine-hq stable. When I opened gcifinancial4setup first time, wine installed wine mono. I restarted my system after installation and executed the cmd but got errors.
