Hi!
When running LiveZilla under wine it has some important missing GUI elements.
To get livezilla running i've installed via winetricks: gdiplus ie6 dotnet20 mdac25 mdac28 corefonts wininet urlmon

That's from missing dxtrans.dll, though i haven't got a clue if this would fix your problem.
You could try copying dxtrans.dll from a windowspartition to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32 and then do 'regsvr32 dxtrans.dll'
I doubt it'll help, but always worth a shot
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21976
--- Comment #3 from Stefan s.priebe@allied-internet.ag 2010-03-22 06:16:36 --- dxtrans.dll is already there but not registered: drive_c/windows/system32/dxtrans.dll
I've then done: wine regsvr32 dxtrans.dll
fixme:atl:AtlModuleInit SEMI-STUB (0x35c74be0 0x35c74000 0x35c50000) Successfully registered DLL dxtrans.dll
But it doesn't fix anything at all - new log attached.

i haven't tried any other stuff with winetricks as i've no idea where to start or which one to try.
by the way cc580 does not exist: ~ $ ./winetricks --help | grep cc580 ~ $

Do you want a new logfile with native comctl?

I don't think that's gonna help. Maybe you could add a howto, how to reproduce the bug. I tried the app, but i don't know how to login.
As a last guess from my side: i was able to run the app with builtin mshtml (and shdocvw), by using the hack below. Maybe that could change the behaviour
diff --git a/dlls/mshtml/htmldoc.c b/dlls/mshtml/htmldoc.c index 12aa8c0..9d659ed 100644 --- a/dlls/mshtml/htmldoc.c +++ b/dlls/mshtml/htmldoc.c @@ -946,7 +946,7 @@ static HRESULT WINAPI HTMLDocument_execCommand(IHTMLDocument { HTMLDocument *This = HTMLDOC_THIS(iface); FIXME("(%p)->(%s %x %p)\n", This, debugstr_w(cmdID), showUI, pfRet); - return E_NOTIMPL; + return 0;//E_NOTIMPL; }

--- Comment #15 from Stefan s.priebe@allied-internet.ag 2010-03-22 13:18:26 --- Thank you for trying to help me.
Using the app isn't easy :-( as you need a prepared serversystem with running their serversoftware and then you need at least two people who are online to try to start chatting.
I can try your "hack" tomorrow but i can't remember setting mshtml to native.
Which installation of these ones set it to native? gdiplus ie6 dotnet20 mdac25 mdac28 corefonts wininet urlmon

--- Comment #16 from Stefan s.priebe@allied-internet.ag 2010-03-23 02:55:15 --- This doesn't help / work - only more log output - but still the same missing graphics.
Another Idea if me is - could it be that the panel is too small. If you look at windows the panel fills the whole frame in the middle. Perhaps the graphics aren't missing but just not visible?

I'm unable to get past the Missing Font errors. I've tried many things but only manage to change which font Livezilla complains is missing... but in each case the font exists in my wine fonts directory. I've tried installing Livezilla before and after corefonts and copying all fonts from an XP machine. Can anyone provide a reliable way to get past this font issue?

--- Comment #22 from Stefan s.priebe@allied-internet.ag 2010-06-14 02:27:50 --- You've installed? gdiplus ie6 dotnet20 mdac25 mdac28 corefonts wininet urlmon
you've then installed livezilla and then again corefonts?
Even when livezilla is running it will crash after some time and the buttons are missing :-(.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21976
--- Comment #23 from batrams junk@mandd.com 2010-06-14 18:25:35 --- Yes I did exactly as you suggested after removing my .wine directory. When I launch the app I get an error saying the Microsoft Sans Serif Regular is missing.
I then copied this font from an XP machine as micross.ttf. The font looks fine in KDE's font viewer, yet Livezilla still complains about it missing.
So next I copy ALL fonts from the XP box, and now Livezilla complains about Tahoma Regular missing, but it too exists and looks fine in the KDE font viewer.
I've been unable to get past this font issue, and I've seen others complain about the same problem on other forums. Any thought are welcome.
