Hello everyone,
Secret World has been released as free to play today and I did a brief test on wine 2.10. Unfortunately the installation fails and I can submit a crash report to Funcom. Console output is attached.

I recently became maintainer of this game in the AppDB and also processed one incoming report. Apparently the patcher does need d3dcompiler_43 native so there is a workaround this.

From the log it seems that you are still using native d3dcompiler. Please
attach a "WINEDEBUG=+loaddll" log.

I finally figured out that I need to install this using
winetricks -q d3dcompiler_43
After I issued the command the game installer starts up without any problems. This solves my issue and the bug can be closed.

I see. I did a fresh installation of the game in a newly created prefix and attached some console output with the WINEDEBUG.

Attaching a test shader for this issue. For vs_2_0 it should be using 'a0' register for indexed access.
