Bug ID: 44466 Summary: PrtSc button crashes StarCraft Product: Wine Version: 2.21 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: iop_jr@yahoo.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 60408 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=60408 the output after the game crashes
Whenever you hit PrtSc in StarCraft, instead of saving the screenshot (like it's meant to in Windows) it ends up crashing the game. Even though PrtSc actually does capture the game in my OS, it's not very useful if the game crashes afterwards.

try with wine 3.1
2.21 is the latest staging release, the game does not work without staged patches

Can you make a log without WINEDEBUG set?
when the game crashes without WINEDEBUG it doesn't show anything (only random stuff I attached when I made the bug), just a Windows crash dialog
I attached a log without +relay

--- Comment #9 from Fabian Maurer dark.shadow4@web.de --- What do you mean with "a Windows crash dialog"? Since this isn't windows, there won't be the standard windows crash dialog.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44466
--- Comment #10 from Igor Polyakov iop_jr@yahoo.com --- I'm wrong, it's a Blizzard crash dialog with an option to send the crash log directly to Blizzard

Does that work?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44466
--- Comment #14 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- Please retest with windowscodecs module from current Wine, it might be fixed with https://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commit/0be89601f57388e5788151d2176c0d....
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44466
--- Comment #15 from Igor Polyakov iop_jr@yahoo.com --- Confirming that the patch works. I didn't try with the current Wine because I need to apply staging patches.
I've been using https://github.com/wine-compholio/wine-patched but this hasn't been updated in a while. Last time I tried applying the staging patches the script didn't work for me so I gave up.

--- Comment #16 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- Ok, can we resolve this one as fixed then?

--- Comment #17 from Igor Polyakov iop_jr@yahoo.com --- It seems it will work in an upcoming release of wine staging, so I'm marking this as fixed. I'll test it when new staging lands as well.
