1. Download WeChat1.0_Beta.exe from http://dldir1.qq.com/weixin/Windows/WeChat1.0_Beta.exe
2. install with wine $wine WeChat1.0_Beta.exe
3. start from wine $wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\ (x86)/Tencent/WeChat/WeChat.exe &> wine-wechat.log
WeChat cannot display the qrcode, then a few seconds later, then it crashed.
A full log is attached. But it seems like that WeChat has it's own crash reports.
The software WeChat1.0_Beta.exe updates frequently. $sha1sum WeChat1.0_Beta.exe 7761754997a8160f3bc1662fca914e6c7f17a842 WeChat1.0_Beta.exe

I tested the latest WeChat.exe, I can login. It does not crash or freeze.

But I can not type anything in the chat window. Also can not choose any emotions.

I'm using Arch Linux. First I delete the .wine directory, then I just wine WeChat.exe.

--- Comment #6 from lilydjwg@gmail.com --- It turns out that the real window is covered by a freezing window for me....After minizing and reshow the window, that weird window is gone. Maybe some issue only seen with the Awesome window manager.
