Summary: ImgBurn hangs after attempting to drag-and-drop a folder onto itself in the disc layout editor Product: Wine Version: 1.1.41 Platform: x86-64 URL: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: RandomAccountName@mail.com
Created an attachment (id=26909) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=26909) Terminal output
In ImgBurn's disc layout editor, attempting to drag a folder onto itself results in the program hanging with high CPU usage. Memory usage then skyrockets until wineserver -k is used. This only happens in the disc layout view, not the explorer view. Doing the same with a file also causes strange behavior.
A workaround is winetricks dcom98. Of the three overrides added by it, I can remove oleaut32 without any problems, but trying to narrow it down to just one override causes issues:
- Removing the override for ole32 brings back the behavior described here - Removing the override for rpcrt4 makes drag-and-drop non-functional
My log is from ImgBurn 2.5.0.0, but behavior is the same in 2.5.1.0.

Can't confirm this under wine-1.1.41. To be sure i am trying to reproduce it this way:
0. clean wine environment 1. wine ImgBurn.exe 2. (choose) Create image file from files/folder 3. (menu) Input -> Advanced 4. (click) Show Disc Layout Editor 5. Here i can drag and drop folder and files like i want onto lower half of window (represents CD/DVD image). I can also drag and drop folders in higher part of the window (folder structure)
Please clarify which steps need to be taken to reproduce the problem or it works for me.

Hi Wylda,
the quickest way is to create a new folder in the disc layout, left-click this folder and hold down the mouse button, move the cursor to the right slightly (making sure it's still above the folder, a "not allowed" icon should appear), then release. This always makes the program hang for me.

OK, confirming. So for me to remember it next time ;) modify step 5.
5. Drop folder onto lower half of window (represents CD/DVD image), then select it by left click, click and hold with slight right move, then release left click.
...and boom. It eats the memory pretty quickly and really needs to be killed.
Happens in all the following versions: * 0.9.49, 1.0.1, 1.1.5, 1.1.10, 1.1.15, 1.1.25, 1.1.30, 1.1.36, 1.1.41
