Provide a download link to a free version of the program that shows the bug if possible. eg.
I don't think this is possible, but I found an ISO at mininova: http://www.mininova.org/tor/1228345 It's not a free version but that is a way to aquire the game.

Don't do this. cd to the directory first.
fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" That error should've been fixed a *long* time ago...Try: $ wineprefixcreate
To update your ~/.wine directory and try again. If that doesn't work, try a new ~/.wine directory (delete your old one).

Ivan, can you install the single player demo from http://www.empireearth.com/us/index.html or does that fail in the same way?

If the bug is still present in today's wine, but was not present in some earlier version of wine, please update version field to earliest known version of wine that had the bug. Thanks!
