Bug #: 30637 Summary: "p11-kit: couldn't load module: /usr/lib/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so" when installing dotnet20 with winetricks Product: Wine Version: 1.5.3 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: alen.siljak@gmail.com Classification: Unclassified
When installing Microsoft .NET Framework (dotnet20) either through winetricks or q4wine, the error pops up when the .Net installer runs:
p11-kit: couldn't load module: /usr/lib/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so: /usr/lib/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The installation then hangs on the second screen, right after clicking the first "Next" button.
This is on Fedora 17 (Beta).
Creating a hard link to gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so results in error stating "wrong ELF number".
The bug was also submitted to Fedora (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=820545).

--- Comment #1 from Alen Siljak alen.siljak@gmail.com 2012-05-10 06:43:33 CDT --- Running on a clean prefix completes the installation. So the error must come from one of the commands ran prior to dotnet20 installation:
./winetricks fontfix ./winetricks corefonts vcrun6 ./winetricks gdiplus
Will check in details.

--- Comment #2 from Alen Siljak alen.siljak@gmail.com 2012-05-10 07:02:52 CDT --- The above-mentioned error still appears all the time, for example when running winecfg, but is effectively ignored. I assume the error on the .Net installation screen was font-related.

--- Comment #3 from Alen Siljak alen.siljak@gmail.com 2012-05-10 07:43:29 CDT --- After a bit of investigation, the reason for hanging installation is most probably not the mentioned .so library. Will downgrade to latest stable Wine version and try again.
