If I compile Wine from the tarball with that option Civ3:C doesn't work (it works without), while if I edit the ebuild to not set it, Civ3:C works (and I didn't need to apply any patch, yeah!). Btw, I never installed Wine from the tarball (or git), I always ran it from the directory where I built it.
