Summary: Regression: Supreme Commander terrain is extremely low res Product: Wine Version: 0.9.49. Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: liquitsnake@gmx.net
Worked fine in 0.9.48, in 0.9.49 however the terrain appears "pixelated", as if an extremely low res texture is being used. I will attach screenshots and do a regression test later today.

--- Comment #7 from Stefan Dösinger stefandoesinger@gmx.at 2007-11-11 14:56:33 --- Hmm... This patch should not cause any change on this card. It has a test shader to detect if the limit is enforced and sticks to the old behavior otherwise. The Linux nvidia driver does not enforce the limit, so there should be no change.
Are you sure the regression test was correct?

--- Comment #9 from haarp liquitsnake@gmx.net 2007-11-12 15:58:38 --- I re-ran the regression test from scratch, just to be sure. Yes, it's definitely this patch.
btw. GLSL was enabled in all cases.

--- Comment #10 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2007-11-13 00:30:11 --- The game looks terrible on my nv44 card with nvidia driver 100.14.11. I definitely see the pixelated terrain, and reverting that patch makes it look just a little better. The pixelated behavior only happens with UseGLSL enabled.
