Bug #: 33140 Summary: Photos opened in Nikon Capture NX 2.4 have inverted red and blue channel for displaying. Product: Wine Version: 1.5.25 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: noxx@free.fr Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 43839 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=43839 Screenshot with inverted red/blue opened photo and properly displayed thumbnails (on the left)
When I open a photo (NEF or JPG) in Capture NX 2.4, the picture looks great, except the blue and the red channels are inverted (see attachement).
The rest seems to work good enough to be used everyday (including the thumbnails and UI, that are displayed with the right colors).
Working on this photo and saving it give a file with right colors (if not opened in Capture NX and Wine of course).
Originals files have been tested with others softwares (Showfoto, aftershot pro...) to be sure the matter doesn't come from file.
The install of Capture NX 2 was done as following :
- Forced 32 bits prefix (I'm on Ubuntu 64 bits)
- Regedit before install : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver\ClientSideWithRender=N
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft.NETFramework\OnlyUseLatestCLR=dword:00000001
- winetricks dotnet20sp2 dotnet40 gdiplus mfc40 mfc42 vcrun2010
- install the demo version (entering serial key also work)
I use Ubuntu 12.10 64bit and have an AMD graphic card with catalyst driver.
Tell if you need any other info about this bug or my config.
I hope I fill the bug righty as the wiki.winehq.org is down actually

--- Comment #5 from Boulesteix Nicolas noxx@free.fr 2013-07-19 10:46:54 CDT --- winetricks dotnet40 gdiplus
seems to be sufficient and second reg key is needed too (OnlyUseLatestCLR), the other key (ClientSideWithRender) doesn't seem to be needed (there no additional matter when I test with 1.6RC5)

So, dotnet40 is needed to get it to run at all, and gdiplus works around the red/blue problem? Or does it not run without gdiplus?
After new test (but with 1.6RC5).
Regedit keys doesn't seems to be needed anymore.
dotnet40 is needed, install doesn't succeed without it.
gdiplus doesn't impact install nor launching the program, but without gdiplus, the text in the menus are invisible. but gdiplus doesn't fix red/blue matter, outside this invisible texts, the program seems to run (open a picture work well but still with the wrong colors).
The matter just happens in the edited picture windows, the rest of the UI (include pictures thumbnails) are well displayed.
May be it's due to the fact this windows can have color management activated or not, since if I activate color management and change setting, nothing seems to change (still red/blue inverted but no brightness nor contrast changes...)
