fixme:font:GetCharacterPlacementW flags 0x00000008 ignored
Tried good old google to no avail. Maybe we are getting closer?

Close again if you choose, just didn't want to give false impression to someone using Google for this problem in the future and seeing it as "RESOLVED", when it is in fact still a bug.

The bug was about the crash. Please file a new bug...tracking multiple problems in the same bug is messy.
