Bug #: 34566 Summary: qq international 2.0 crashes with native riched20 and builtin ctf Product: Wine Version: 1.7.1 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: dank@kegel.com Classification: Unclassified
With qq international 2.0, I had to do 'winetricks riched20' to see the 'enter a username' text. It then displayed that text, but crashed within a few seconds, before I could try entering a username or password.
The log showed
fixme:msctf:TextStoreACPSink_OnTextChange STUB:(0x139b58) fixme:msctf:TextStoreACPSink_OnSelectionChange STUB:(0x139b58) fixme:msctf:TextStoreACPSink_OnLayoutChange STUB:(0x139b58) fixme:msctf:TextStoreACPSink_OnSelectionChange STUB:(0x139b58) fixme:msctf:TextStoreACPSink_OnSelectionChange STUB:(0x139b58) fixme:msctf:TextStoreACPSink_OnLayoutChange STUB:(0x139b58) fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.VC80.ATL" (8.0.50727.4053) ... but no backtrace. Using winedbg on the minidump in c:/users/$LOGNAME/Temp/Tencent showed a backtrace in native riched20.
'winetricks msctf' worked around the crash, and let me enter a username.

--- Comment #1 from lizhenbo litimetal@gmail.com 2013-09-21 21:34:39 CDT --- Would you offer a download link please? I guess that QQIntl 2.0 reveals more wine bugs than QQIntl 1.6

--- Comment #4 from Qian Hong fracting@gmail.com --- Created attachment 49970 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=49970 Hack: always return S_FALSE for DllCanUnloadNow.
This hack prevents QQ from crashing. I'm still not sure the correct fix yet.

--- Comment #5 from Pavel Sokolov pavel@sokolov.me --- I have the same problem - QQ crashes. How to apply patch and recompile/install patched library? Could somebody provide more detailed instructions?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34566
--- Comment #6 from Sebastian Lackner sebastian@fds-team.de --- There is no need to compile anything manually. 1.7.40 already contains a fix, http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commit/46198a5fa669f617ec4b6acd85f7743....
@Qian Hong: Shouldn't this bug report be closed?

--- Comment #7 from Pavel Sokolov pavel@sokolov.me --- ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa latest version is 1.7.38 :( So I need to rebuild it manually
