Use a fresh prefix, see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#wineprefix
You can try disabling d3d11.dll in winecfg, to work around bug 34008.

--- Comment #10 from Linards linards.liepins@gmail.com --- Bug fixed.
Using wine-staging 1.7.44 @ Fedora 22 x86_64.
To test this, I had to install libtxc_dxtn.i686 ibtxc_dxtn.x86_64, as mentioned in this post: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=fedora-post-install&a..., so the textures would be fixed and I actually cvould play the game.
Thanks.

--- Comment #12 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
since this is reported working in Wine-Staging please retest with Wine 1.8-rcX. If the issue is still present, provide information which Wine-Staging patch(set) fixes this (to resolve as potential dupe).
It's very likely that the bug evolved from initial report in 2012, being recycled for a different issue now.
Regards

I tried it (poking around the menu and running the benchmark) and everything seems fine in both staging 2.21 and vanilla wine 3.2.
Both the dx9 and dx11 options work fine.
