I thought it was an obvious oversight—attempting to write a test revealed a lot of issues with removeAttribute compared to native (which is the only place it's called from right now), so I guess I'll just drop this patch for now as I don't plan on working on that.
I did plan to use it in other places later, so I'll probably move it there.
