4/5 could be slightly better titled "store the desired output format as caps" now, since it's changing the field's format rather than deleting it. I'll admit I'm still not quite convinced about the end goal, but I don't find anything really objectionable about changing the format we store, so that's fine.

I don't dislike 5/5 but I'd still like to know what the motivation is there.
