The specs I am referring to is that, (1) in C you cannot just deref a pointer unconditionally and (2) the MS doc [says as such](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/unknwn/nf-unknwn-iunknow...)) "If ppvObject (the address) is nullptr, then this method returns E_POINTER.". Why is every change purposed to this project meet with such adversarial attitude?
